Stock control
When you move to PlanIt EPOS your products come in from price lists, and your stock comes in from one spreadsheet: a row per product with what is on the shelf. The same import shelves the whole catalogue if it has a bin column.
A spreadsheet or CSV, one row per product, with a SKU or barcode that matches your catalogue and the quantity on the shelf. A cost column is optional and updates the product’s cost. A bin column is optional and sets where each product lives — a file with just SKU and bin is fine, and shelves the catalogue without touching quantities.
Drop the file in. Each column is listed with its first row; tell the app which one is the SKU or barcode, which is the quantity, and the cost and bin if you have them. Press Match against the catalogue.
Set stock to these quantities is for an opening count or a full recount. Add to current stock is for a delivery you have on a spreadsheet. The preview shows, for every matched product, on hand now, the figure in the file and the change.
Rows in the file, matched, not matched, products changing, bins changing and the change in stock value are totalled before anything happens. Unmatched rows are listed so you can add those products first. Each change becomes a ledger movement in your name; nothing is deleted.
Whichever matches the catalogue most reliably. Barcodes are unambiguous; SKUs are easier to read if you are checking the preview by eye.
Yes. Set mode replaces the figure each time; Add mode adds on top, so use Set if you are re-running a correction.
