How we price
Three things we will not do
Most of the pricing complaints we hear about merchant software come down to the same three practices.
Charge you more for selling more
No percentage of turnover, and no transaction fee on your own till.
Lock you into a long term
Three months, then monthly rolling. If it stops working for you, you can leave — no multi-year contract, no auto-renewing annual term.
Invoice separately for setup
Onboarding, data import and staff training are part of the subscription.
Questions
Pricing questions
What does it cost?
£149 a month, which includes one till and as many users as you need. Each additional till is £59 a month. That is the whole price: every module, onboarding, hosting, backups, support and updates are in it.
How does the free trial work?
Sign up, and you have 7 days of the full product with nothing held back. We do not ask for a card to start. When the trial ends you subscribe from Settings → Billing, or simply stop — your data stays available to read either way.
Is there a minimum term?
Three months, counted from your first payment, then it rolls monthly. Cancelling inside the three months stops the subscription at the end of the term rather than straight away; after that it ends at the close of the month already paid for. There is no multi-year term, no notice period beyond that, and no annual uplift written into a contract you signed years ago. The 7-day trial is separate: nothing is owed while you are on it.
Do you charge a percentage of turnover?
No. You pay for the tills and users you have, not a share of what you sell. A good month should not cost you more in software.
What does onboarding include, and what does it cost?
Onboarding is included in the subscription. It covers configuring your branches, tills, VAT, price bands and account terms, importing your products and customers, and training your counter staff.
Are there extra charges for support or updates?
No. Support and continuous updates are part of the subscription. There are no version upgrade projects and no engineer visit to pay for.
Do we need to buy new hardware?
Usually not. PlanIt EPOS runs in a browser on a Windows PC, Mac, iPad or Android tablet, and works with standard keyboard-wedge barcode scanners, thermal receipt printers and label printers. It sits alongside your existing card terminal.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You can export your products, customers and transactions in a standard format at any time, including on the way out. Your data is yours.
Can we have a demo as well as the trial?
Yes. Book half an hour and we will run through it on your own products and pricing. Plenty of merchants do the demo first and then start the trial with their real data.
A week on your own counter
Start the trial with your real products and pricing. If PlanIt EPOS is not right for your business, you will know before anyone asks for a card.
