Questions merchants ask
Which should I use — void or refund?
Void when the sale itself was a mistake and nothing was really sold. Refund when the sale was real and some or all of the goods are coming back.
Does a refund go back into stock?
Only if you choose Back into sellable stock. Damaged goods are written off with a reason, and service lines can be refunded with no stock change.
Can I refund a card sale in cash?
Yes. The refund method is your choice; whichever you pick is recorded against the till session so the cash-up matches the drawer.
